Flower stand inspired by an old Brio toy. Soldered wire and an old thimble

In a very small scale...

These pages are all about my dolls houses, dolls cabinets, showcases and miniatures. I hope you can have some inspiration on how to make new things out of old material and on how to make small, small things yourself...

Working with dolls houses can be the most all-round hobby/craft in the world, because you use all kind of materials and many different methods. Wood, metal, cloth, hobby clay, real clay, plastic, concrete, paper, different yarns, leather, varnish, oils, and colours - acrylic, water, earth colours, ink and indian ink; you paint and punch, solder, polish and remove rust etc. etc.

I find it especially enjoyable to make things from old material and, I am, of course, not alone in this =) "Trash to treasures"
is great fun! If you keep your eyes open you can find so many strange, funny and promising small things to change into something completely different.

Mini greetings / Bibi

The wires inside a broken christmas light became...

...a tiny blackbird
