Found treasures - a piece of synthetic grass becomes an urn with irises

I found a piece of synthetic grass at a car booth sale for one SEK and got lots of plant material for a mini garden and house plants. My daughter who lives outside NY has lots of fantastic irises in different shades in her garden and the grass looked just like these clumps. I decided to make an urn with blue irises.

I knew I needed a big urn for the garden and managed to locate a heavy brass urn; filled it with hobby clay and glued the leaves to the clay after making six holes in the plastic with a needle. Then I made six irises from coffee filters painted in shades of lilac and dark blue and arranged them in the urn

The leaves had a plastic sheen so I painted the leaves with different shades of green to cover the plastic. I bent some of the leaves for a more natural look. Finally I sprinkled ground coffee beans in the urn to mimic soil
